Ho, Ho, Ho, Hee, Hee, Hee – Let the Season Begin!

Warning: I am a Christmas nut. It is my absolute favorite time of the year, bar none. From December 1st, all the way through January 1st I make a point of practicing good cheer, eating great food, spending time with friends and telling all those I love that I love them.

It works for me – because I figure I have eleven months out of the year to be a grump and a bitch – so it’s sort of like a vacation for everybody – know what I mean? πŸ˜‰

While I likely won’t have snow on Christmas Eve, if this cold snap lasts, I’ll at least see it capping the mountains in the not too distant view.

I will watch every Christmas movie I have – more than once. I will search TV listings for ones I don’t have and be on the look out at stores to add to my collections.

I will bake brownies and cookies, randomly hand out candy to the homeless, wear a Santa Hat and reindeer ears – and cherish each moment a friend opens a present, gives a hug or says Merry Christmas.

And it will be all Christmas all the time on this blog through the 25th.

Okay? Okay.

Merry Christmas….

  1. Bahhh Humbug
    Just kidding……
I too love the Christmas Season, because as during Thanksgiving, I consider what the Master has by grace restored to me in my life….. friends, family and loved ones.
Merry Christmas WC and too all who cross this comment Merry Christmas to you too.

Oh Squawky you could never convince me that you were a bah humbug. You are probably as big a Christmas fool as I.

  2. Oh me too! I want to get on this ride next to you!
Try living in a houseful of males who think its absolutely dorky of me, and bitch and whine, cause I want to put up the decos, lights & tree on Thanksgiving weekend! I like doing the full deal too….got to play all the corny Christmas music while putting up the tree! Watch all the Christmas specials on TV.
I feel out of place in my own home! No one to join in the celebrations with me!
They’re killing the Christmas spirit around here!

Hop in baby, there is plenty of room in this sleigh!

Oh pish on those dang dumb boys! They’d cry their little eyes out if you didn’t ‘make’ Christmas for them every year. It’s a law, you know…boys can’t admit that they like the corny stuff – but they do. They really do.

If they really give you a hard time, come on out and we can be Christmas fools together. πŸ˜‰

  3. Oh, we need to talk ‘Miss Ghost-of-Christmas-Present’. . .
    The Grinch

    Scrooooooooooooooge…..I, er….I mean…Michael – we shall talk. That we shall. πŸ˜‰

  4. Make room for me in that sleigh, I’m hoppin in too! πŸ˜‰ Christmas is the absolute best time of year!!! (next to Halloween of course πŸ˜‰ ) Four weeks of candy, cookies, hot apple cider, excited kids, sappy Hallmark movies, grins on every face you meet, the smell of pine and cinnamon in the air, and “What can I do to make a perfect stranger’s day?” on everyone’s to-do list. Ya can’t ask for anything better!

    Oh Sweet Pea,
There’s always room for you (and the kids and the cats and the hubby) in this sleigh. You’re my Christmas twin. LOL. Stay tuned for my upcoming series called the 12 Days of Christmas – I plan to write about my 12 most memorable Christmases and I’ll bet you can think of one I’ll be writing about. πŸ˜‰

  5. Yes! Yes! Yes! I know the one! It’s one of mine too! I can’t wait to read about it! (hoppin up and down dying to spill the beans but keeping mouth shut πŸ˜‰ )

Otay…I know you’ll be waiting with eggnog baited breath. And please don’t give it away. It’s too fun to tip the punchline.

  6. Yay!!! Your twelve most memorable Christmas stories. Can’t wait! I love Christmas too. Hands down it’s my favorite season because of all the holiday cheer– the Christmas carols, specials, decorated houses, lights on trees, wonderful ornaments, but most of all — the excuse for everyone to give hugs and enjoy family and friends…and even strangers. Imagine that.
I’m sooooo glad you’re doing the Christmas month πŸ™‚

LOL – me and my big mouth – now I’m scrambling over heck and creation to come up with stuff. My eyes are crossing. But I don’t care – I love excuses to feel good and cheerful.

  7. I love christmas too…always have. It’s so much more fun now since I had Zoe too. You know what mum gets every year? A wakeup call at 6am…I don’t care if I’m 32, I still wake her at 6!
Looking forward to seeing christmas through your eyes.

Well I’m not as much of a kid as Zoe (nor am I as much of an adult as she) but I hope you enjoy my twisted Christmas view. hehe

  8. ooopsss..you become good girl….lol great idea..but I spend time with family and also with friends with some chilled bear πŸ™‚ Thats me…

Yep, but I’m only good thru Christmas, hehe. Then I go back to being bad me.

Family, friends and chilled beer sounds good to me.
