“I care not what others think of what I do, but I care very much about what I think of what I do!. That is character.”
– Theodore Roosevelt
(Known both for his larger-than-life personality and his many achievements, Theodore Roosevelt was the youngest US president at age 42. He was born in 1858 in New York. He led the Rough Riders, a motley volunteer cavalry, to victory in the battle of San Juan Hill. As the “Trust Buster” president, he instigated some 40 lawsuits to break up monopolies. An ardent conservationist, he put 230 million acres under federal protection. The Panama Canal was begun under Roosevelt. He died in 1919.)
That Teddy was my kind of guy. Course today in this politically correct world, they’d probably destroy him. Thank God, he was around when it was okay for men to men and for leaders to lead. God bless his soul.

Teddy was my kind of man also. I have quoted his policy on immigration in the past. His words ring as true today as ever.
That’s the thing with ‘real’ people, they are classics and always relevant.

When men were men. Our local AAA team is called the Roughriders, and they have Teddy’s face plastered on a ball in the outfield.
Yep Lass, Teddy surely did have balls. 😉

What a great pic of a cool dude.
I posted a quote of his a few months back regarding immigration. It was refreshing to see a politician say what was on his mind regardless of the consequences.

I love that picture! But I don’t hold out much hope for another President of his caliber.
I know what you mean, Lolly – he was one in a million, wasn’t he?
