Lover You Don’t Treat Me No Good No More

Sonia Dada is a weird name for a band – still, I have loved them for years. Their harmonies are incredible – and you can really hear them since they only use instruments to accompany themselves as opposed to blaring over them. I hope you love them too. Enjoy!

  2. Where in the hell did you find these guys!? They are awesome! Loved them! Can’t wait to share this one…..I’ve never heard of them!

Actually, I think it was one day when I was in theWherehouse and they were playing their CD. I bought it right up and have been buying them ever since – they’ve been around quite a while – I think I discovered them about 10 years ago. Check out their website for more clips – plus youtube has a couple more. I highly recommend getting their CD “Day at the Beach” it is awesome.

For sure Anabel, check them out. You can’t feel bad when you’re listening to these dudes. I think it’s just impossible.

  4. Wow!! Me got the chills! (and that only happens when it’s sooo good πŸ˜‰ )

Oh, I thought I had turned you onto these guys before. They are great, huh?

Re: where I’ve been lately, this has been a year of changes and it’s been an interesting ride (as, I’m sure, you can relate πŸ˜‰ ). I’m around. Just need to be quite for a while that’s all.

Otay, I get it. Stay in touch. Let me know if you need anything.

  5. Hi WC, great music! I’m north of the Oregon Border, just barely, in the BC Gulf Islands… The earthquake scare was apparently very real, and it freaked me out. A couple who live here who are from San Fransisco laughed, saying they lived with that kind of thing every day for 15 years. How does one become so calm in the face of that I wonder? I suppose if zillions of people can do it I can too. Hope you’re well. Heard from Reggie at all?

Heya Bird! Wow, I had no idea you folks were getting the shakies that far north. I know it does sound odd but you do get used to little earthquakes after a while – if they just shake stuff up and don’t do any real harm then no one really pays attention. But the biggies, nope, nobody is getting used to those. No way.

    I’m okay.

Haven’t heard from Reg – just an ocasional comment here and there. I guess that means you haven’t either? Where has that girl got to? πŸ˜‰

Glad you liked the tunes. They are a fun group.

  7. Great tune.
Too bad there aren’t more bands out there doing the kind of thing these guys do. Refreshing.
An aquaintance of mine from years ago did sound for these guys in Europe.
At the time, they were touring with Sting.
Got some juicy stories about the voice behind Roxanne.

Ithought you might dig them. It is too bad there aren’t more bands about the actual quality of music these days – but I guess it’s the world we live in. As to those juicy stories, you oughta post em on your blog. I’m sure we’d all like to read about them – lol – any naked pics involved? πŸ˜‰

  8. Just another thing we have in common my dear! I loved the harmonies and I loved the muscles πŸ™‚ Still do!
    Kelly

I think they were very popular in Oz, from what I read. Over here, I think they’re more of a great secret. I just love em.

  10. sob . . . . i cant hear it. You tube print”video no longer available.

That is very weird – this is the second time in the last couple of weeks a vid has stopped working for me. Go to youtube and type in ‘sonia dada’ there are several other vids – also if you click on the link for their website there must be other vids links there as well. They are fantastic!

  11. found it in youtube.. how does fame avoid bands like these? never had heard of them before this..
but they’ve got it all together….loved listening to them..
    ken

I don’t know. My understanding is that they are very popular in the UK and Austrailia but not so much here. Which always does surprise me. There is something about their music that makes you want to get up and dance and sing. To me, that is what music is all about.

  12. you know what Kelly wrote… I’ve found that happens with music very much.. i know sounds freaky… but maybe (just maybe) music touches the soul in a manner that grows our psychical powers…so much so, that we can bring songs that we really want to hear on the air…
    ken

I don’t think it sounds that freaky at all. I do think that many things happen on a psychic/spiritual level. It’s that old walking toward the phone just before it starts to ring, thing. Yes?
