Okay, so what does Cary Grant have to do with my new car? Nothing, actually – but I love him and the song and I needed to celebrate. Oh yeah, did I mention I sent the old car to the car graveyard in the sky and got a new car? Why yes, yes I did. She is midnight blue, has power everything, leather interior, moonroof and well she’s just perfect. Doing the happy dance.

What the heck is a moonroof???? We have sunroof, sunrooves?? how do you spell it? Are they the same.
bet you are just loving yourself in the new motor, have fun
Lovin’ the new motor – and yeah, I think a moonroof is pretty much the same as a sunroof. I’m sure someone will correct me if I’m mistaken.

I have to admit that I’ve never heard of a moonroof as well, but I do love Grant.
I’m not sure but I think it’s the same as a sunroof. You slide this little door in the roof and there’s a little window – push the button, it slides open and I guess you can see the moon, if you’re driving at night. It’s a very cool feature. And a pretty fancy thing for me – I’ve pretty much driven little, crappy pieces of junk for so long, I almost feel like I’m driving my ‘mom’s’ car when I get into this one. I’m sure that will fade quickly though – I find I’m already having attitude whenever anyone drives too close to it. LOL.

PS: Cary Grant one of the handsomest, sexiest men who ever lived.

Oh God, do I ever love having a new car!!
I went and let every kid we know draw graffiti all over the inside of our mini van with colorful permanent markers and now it’s too cool to give up! Even though half the “power everything” won’t work and we have to keep breathing life into it every year, we just can’t bring ourselves to send the roving work of art to the car graveyard.
But, hearing you talk of the leather seats (aaahhhhh.. the smell and feel of leather), and the power everything (mmmmm…. hardly have to lift a finger), and the moonroof (I happen to know what those are. Nice!), and I’ll bet you even have a 5 disc cd changer (drooling now), makes me almost willing to dump the hippy mom van (right wing conservative hippy mind you) and follow you into driving heaven! π
No 5 disc cd changer – and careful you’re gonna scare these folks with that right-wing conservative hippy mom thing – I’m sure they have never heard of such a thang. π

Congrats on the new car! π I just traded my car (w/moonroof) in for a big ass truck (it makes me feels safer with all the crazy drivers here in NY) π but with the warm weather moving in I must admit I am already missing my moonroof.
I understand the desire for a big-ass truck Buggsie – but yeah the moonroof, it’s a special ol’ thang, aint’ it? Next time you come to L.A. we’ll go for a ride with it open – kay?

Don’t you just love that new car scent? It’s awesome the first time you drive it at night. The dashboard looks so cool. I have a “moonroof”-love it! Remember to close it just in case it rains!
Happy Birthday !
I do love that smell. That’s funny about the moonroof, I thought to myself -‘you’re such a ditz – you’ll probably forget and leave it open and it will rain’ – Spooky, huh?
Thanks for the berfday wishes.

Thanks for sharing the little montage of Cary Grant stills. I was amazed at how many of the movies I’ve actually seen. I guess I not only read lots of books, I watch lots of old movies too. (And listen to the Beatles.) π

LOL CP I guess we’re both just that old. Sigh! I have seen all of them. But then, I’ve always loved the old movies – even when I was a real little kid. In my mind, Grant, the Beatles and Old movies are all classics – they cross generational lines, right? π

When we brought home our new minivan with the leather and the moonroof, I thought I was nuts for being so manic about these supposed luxuries. But I hate driving. And anything that allows me to enjoy the experience just a little more is a welcome thing indeed. And sliding the roof open on a nice day, jacking in the iPod and settling back in a seat that’s more comfortable than any LazyBoy I’ve ever sat in is a luxury I look forward to every day.
Congrats on the new wheels. You deserve ’em!
Wow Carmi, that’s incredible because I am the same way. I hate to drive and so yes, anything that makes the trip more comfortable, bearable, delightful is very appreciated. Thanks for visiting – welcome and feel free to drop by again any time you please. I peeked at your site and I have to say, I am loving that cute little Schnauzer. They are real peaches.

Happy Birthday Chicken on St. Paddy’s Day!!
Was the car a new B-Day present to yourself ?
Save us some cake!!
Tanks Ger! Well the car was sort of an inadvertant gift to myself – my old chevy just ended up on life support close to my birthday. Sorry about the cake – x-snay on the ake-cay – too wide in the berth this year. π

OMG WC you were born on St. Paddys’ Day? What a blessing! Keely my 4 yr. old was born March 18th, I so wanted her on the 17th (as we are proud Irish) but it was a Sunday that yr. and she was a scheduled c-section! I did beg the doc to do the section on Sunday he said nope sorry, I’m not Irish lol! π Oh well both Keels and Derrick have that beautiful red hair so ha I got the last word there!
Kaylas doing well me not so great I wanna kill my husband he is soooooo dense! I think I will drive to L.A. in my big ass truck WC and we will have an awesome time and I will forget about all my troubles! π
Yes, and apparently I was the first baby born on ST. Paddy’s Day in the town of my birth. I think my Ma won a prize or something.
But your babies have the permanent mark of the Irish with the red hair – so GO IRISH! Yay!
Hey Buggsie, any ol’ time you wanna point your big-ass truck in my direction, feel free hon, the door is always open. And hell yeah, we’d have some fun. At least until they caught up with us. π
