Sure. I don’t really remember, it was when I was a little kid.

Yeah – The Shining – terrible!

Extra butter and salt with large diet coke on the side.

Not much these days – most of the films seem more like rentals and go to dvd so quickly that it seems silly to pay the $10 or $12 bucks. A few times a year
18. What’s the last movie you saw in the theater?
Premonition – with Sandra Bullock, which I really, really liked.
19. What’s your favorite/preferred genre of movie?
Murder mystery.
20. What’s the first movie you remember seeing in the theater?
Sinbad and the Seven Seas or something like that.
21. What movie do you wish you had never seen?
The Exorcist. I couldn’t turn the lights off for weeks. 2nd place goes to A Clockwork Orange, made me sick to my stomach.
22. What is the weirdest movie you enjoyed?
Memento – tres strange, but oh so cool.
23. What is the scariest movie you’ve seen?
Exorcist – can’t seem to think of any other that has freaked me as much.
24. What is the funniest movie you’ve seen?
Monty Python and the Holy Grail. 2nd place goes to Groundhog Day. 3rd place goes to The Fabulous Baker Boys.
25. If you could only watch one movie for the rest of eternity, what would it be?
Definitely would be either a Hitchcock movie or a Frank Capra. Rear Window, Vertigo or It’s a Wonderful Life. Not sure.

Hm, this post and the thought-aftermath convinced me that I’d need to write a book in order to answer those 25 questions. I spent at least the first quarter century of my life between movies and there is no way I can pick and choose favourites without giving
half page explanations. As my husband would say, I am a addicted to movies, which is a blatant lie, I just love visual stories ;-).
If I find a way to write a short version, I’ll post it.
I love movies too. I just LOVE them. But feel free to post whatever answer you want – no problem.

I said I liked the Clockwork Orange, book, once– and a friend freaked. I suppose I should’ve clarified it was not the content (because I could barely stomach it) but the “theory” or “idea” that the writer was trying to get by. I had to study it for a class. I’ve only read it once and would never read it again, so I can’t imagine the movie.
I’m curious Kenzie – what theory did you come away with from the book. I only saw the movie and it was horrible – I don’t think I actually could watch the whole thing. But I’d be interested to know what you think (or anyone for that matter) thinks the writer was trying to get across by writing it.

Sure there is several since i cry at commercials on the TV, but can’t remember a specific one right now….

Used to, but now i bring in my own snacks, and usually the 100 calorie packs…

Really only go if it’s at the “cheap” show or i rent…very rarely do i pay full price….

Casino Royale (cheap show) didn’t really like, although the action scenes were quite amazing…

Comedy/Horror/Fantasy

Disney, so either it was Herby or Escape to Witch’s Mountain, or maybe neither, but I know it was a disney one….that way my dad had an excuse to see them….hehehe

The Shining-I was young when i saw it, scared the bejeezus out of me….(Recently) The Ring-but that was more of a “creepy” scary-than just a plain scary-but i was creeped out for weeks….especially when the phone rang….

Airplane (the very 1st time i saw it) and i’m sure there were others, but can’t remember…

Far out, somebody actually did the quiz. I totally forgot about Dirty Dancing – loved that one and of course Breffy at Tiffany’s is ab-fab.
What’s your favorite Hitchcock film? I never heard of Happy Feet – what’s it about (besides feet)? I have to agree with you about the Ring – not blatant scary but something about it just creeps you and – later, like after you’ve gone home and you’re about to go to sleep. I hate it when that happens.

Basically– he appeared a “clockwork orange”…something that looks nice on the outside and isn’t inwardly. He is just a piece on the game table for a God/Devil to play with, and a single choice effects that outcome, taking away the rest of his freedom.
Very dark book. Like I said– I’d never read it again. Neither do I agree with the idea that the writer was trying to get across, but I think that is what intrigues me…I don’t understand the mechanics behind it. I believe that there is always a choice. Always.
I think there could be a different/better way for the writer to have made this point. Or maybe not. I don’t know. Anyway, I’m not crazy, and I don’t like psycho books like that– but concept was intriguing. Get what I’m saying? LoL I’ll shut up now.
No worries…I appreciate the explanation. And I agree, there probably was a better way to have made his point and maybe or a more social way. I’m not one of those people who has to be hit over the head with something to ‘get it’ so that stories like this push me toward revulsion because it’s too much. Rarely ((if ever) are you going to encounter anyone so singularly evil. Most people have dimension – even very bad people have some redeeming qualities. Well like you said, psycho book. LOL.

Happy Feet is a cartoon about some penguins & they normally “sing” but one penguin can’t sing, so he dances (he’s sort of the outcast) but of course it catches on-hense the name: Happy Feet!!
Hitchcock: Vertigo, Rear Window, Psycho and i know there are some others, but i can’t think of the names. Or i’m not sure they’re actually Hitchcock, but i think they are kind of thing….

You know what, now that you’re explaining it, I think I did see a commercial for the Happy Feet. It looked cute. I assume you saw Ice Age too? I heard that was good. My bad, I just can’t get into the animation films.
Sounds like you have similar tastes in Hitchcock too. There are a few others I can recommend if you haven’t seen them – Shadow of a Doubt – Dial M for Murder – The Rope – AND Strangers on a Train. Tres good!
