Yeah…I’m working on it…jeesh!
Just wanted to let you know that tomorrow my friend Jess Em will be pinch hitting for me. She has a very funny post which will be sure to amuse – and A-Mum make sure you aren’t drinking your cuppa when you read it.
She’s relatively new to our little blogosphere and a great find. She’s smart, sarcastic, funny and in a word, a hoot.
So, please give her a nice welcome, some encouraging comments and visit her site too. I promise, she’s dah bomb (why do I attempt to use modern slang? It always sounds so dumb coming from me. And probably that phrase is outdated by now anyway.)

It’s a baseball term. A person who goes out and hits for another player is the simple explanation.
Pray tell, what is Prithee? 8)

I think it’s a variation on “pray thee tell”, whose origin I believe comes from little British girls in panniers and mary-janes a few hundred years ago. Maybe.
Why do I bother trying to pretend I have a clue.
Ah…I see.
I have no idea why you pretend you have a clue – I gave that up years ago. So much less pressure. Really. 8)

I’ve just stumbled across your blog and it’s great!
I’m in the final stages of my first book (have written for stage mostly) and the synopsis was a killer, so I totally empathise! I wrote mine before I’d finished the book (pros and cons to that one I’ve discovered!) and it took me 3 months to get it right! So, hats off to you and your deadline. Your site is great, I’ll definitely be back!

Thanks for visiting. Wow, you wrote the synopsis before you started? That would have scared the bageebers out of me. It was tough enough writing it after I was done. I still have tweaking and ‘notes’ on it but I much further than I was a week ago. Thank goodness. I’ll be by to visit you soon.
