More Summer Fun

A friend of mine sent me these unbelievable pictures. Yes folks, people actually made these from salt water and sand. Cripes, I can’t make something this good with clay, glue and step by step directions!

I must say though, I wonder what her hair is supposed to be wrapped around.

Why are old people always yelling at kids?

Rampunzel must be at the top of that thing somewhere.

It takes a lot of sand to make a whole kingdom.

What are these little kids so afraid of?

Ah…I get it, the dragon is eating their dad.

I guess I better get my bucket and internet directions and head for the beach – it’s going to take a while to get the hang of this stuff.

  1. Those sculptures are so awesome.
    i sure miss California beaches.

I must say that California beaches are awesome. I love going down to the Venice boardwalk just to see the show. It’s always interesting and something different. πŸ™‚

I was going to make a wicked crass comment but I’ll refrain. It wasn’t that funny anyway. πŸ˜‰

  4. OMG! Perth beaches are stunning, but they just have your normal everyday garden variety sand, seaweed and the odd beer belly over Speedos.
    This is totally amazing!

They really are, aren’t they? Although, we’ve plenty of beer guts over speedos over here too. πŸ˜‰

    Hey Steve,
Yeah, they are cool, huh? I can’t even get the shape of a bucket, so you’re up on me.

    Wow Ev,
You really are the ultimate multitasker. What else can you do in your sleep? πŸ˜‰

the only thing i can do is put sand in a bucket and dump it over and sometimes it will stay together …

  8. I sit on our beach alot and have wondered about making a sand piece one day. Rampundzal’s tower must have taken some time and patience. It’s amazing what people can do when they put their minds to it. Thanks for the picctures I love them.

It’s funny how creative people can make art out of the simplest things, isn’t it?

  9. i love Venice- the street performers, the shops, the sea.
i’ve always wanted to live either by the ocean or in the mountains. Now, i have my mountain dream but the beach is two hours away. i told my husband i’d like him to eventually tranfer to Newport, Oregon. And it’s not very expensive to live there either.

Santa Cruz is the ultimate, as it has moutains right near the sea. But that’s for later, our retirement maybe.

Santa Cruz is really nice but I think I still prefer places a little further south – like Zuma. Now that’s a beautiful place. The beach is so white and the water so cold and clear it’s perfect.

They are something, aren’t they. I sure can’t do anything this amazing – but I can cook so that’s something. πŸ˜‰
