A Heartfelt Thanks

I just wanted to take a minute and thank everybody who exchanged cards with me this year. As you can see, I got a delightful mix of some of the cutest cards you ever saw.

I really enjoyed this tiny little foray out of the virtual world and into the ‘real’ world, into your real worlds. The little notes written inside, seeing what your handwriting looks like, the type of card you sent – all these things told me a little bit more about who you are.

There is nothing lovlier than getting a card in the mail from a friend and with each arrival I felt a little pang of excitement and joy.

I love you guys and I’m so glad we did this.

Thanks Nikki, Marie, Jennifer, Kimmie, Moe, Di, Simonne, Christine, Gracie, Carrie, Marie, Daisies, and everybody whose card is yet to land in my mailbox.

Merry Christmas, my friends.

Love,

Annie

  1. Mine will be coming after the holiday – I haven’t forgotten!! I have just always done it that way since I do my newsletter a few times a year I don’t see any reason to stress the mail carriers any more than necessary. Plus I think it’s nice for people to get something after the holiday as well. But it looks like you’ve gotten quite the haul of great cards already! You are so loved, Annie! πŸ™‚

    Aw Teens,
I didn’t mean to exclude you – I know I will get the super secret newsletter soon. I look forward to it.

I guess I am loved – that’s a really nice thing, isn’t it. Love you too!

  5. OH YER!!!! OMG!!

We ‘did it’ Out Of Blog World. Haha!!

‘Out of Blog World’ could be a title for a post. Want it Annie. I’m smiling here wondering if I could write a post around that title.

A Title for me similiar that I wouldn’t have a problem with would be. ‘Out Of My Head’. Hehe!!

    Mucho Lovo Annio

  6. Awww! Now I want to show my cards, though you’re the only “virtual” friend I exchanged with. However, yours meant more to me than the one from those aunts-in-law I’ve never physically seen!

Gotta love how Christmas brings out the good in people.

Aw, you’re sweet. I’m sure the aunts-in-law a very nice – but maybe you and I have more in common? πŸ˜‰

  7. πŸ™‚ It was really fun – I know ‘e-cards’ are becoming popular, but I just love getting real cards in the mail. Thanks for suggesting this, Annie!!! And I hope your Christmas was awesome.

Love the new look, btw…and these little white guys piling up at the bottom of my screen?? wooo whooo! It’s snowing!

    Hey Gracie!
Yeah, it was fun – and I’m like you, I love the real cards coming to my actual mailbox. The ecards are fun and I don’t mind getting them either – but I don’t I guess it’s the difference between a real book and an ebook – I like to have it in my hand and look at it.

Christmas was great – and yours?

Yeah, you know I wasn’t sure I’d like a dark theme but it’s growing on me and the snow is fun, eh?

    Hey D!
The card swap was fun. You don’t have to steal it, just take it. I hope we get an even bigger exchange next year.
