A friend sent me this in an email, and though I’d read it before it hit home more this time around. It’s a poem by the timeless beauty, Audrey Hepburn. I really like how that lady thought. WC

Actually written by Sam Levenson and even though Hepburn said it in different speeches and things (she always gave him credit) but people over the years just thought she wrote it too. He is an amazing talent. Some of his quotes are funny! I’ve read he wrote it for his grandchild and it was titled, “Time Tested Beauty Tips” but it was one of Hepburn’s favorites and somehow along the years folks just assumed she wrote it.
On that note, however, each line speaks volumes. Reading it over and over again it does focus on what really matters in a person and what makes them beautiful, what comes from the inside radiates outward 😉 Love the message!

Audrey Hepburn always fascinated me, so outwardly beautiful, with such an inner radiance. I can see how this poet was inspired. He really captured the essence of true beauty. I understand how it hit home.

I always loved her. She had so much class. Doesn’t matter who wrote it, the right sentiments are there. Though I give Sam Levenson kudos and Audrey for realizing it’s truth. Javaqueen, you are so smart and writerchick you are so cool for posting it.
LOL Joan, I always wanted to be her – when I was a kid, I used to watch her movies (rerun on television) over and over. She was a very special woman.

I’ve always been fascinated by her as well. It is so refreshing that she also had brains beneath her beauty, unlike some of the starlets of today.
Boy, ain’t that the truth, Teens. There is nobody like her today, especially in the current crop of young actresses. She was an original through and through.

Audrey Herburn has always been a class act, so much influence she has in my life that I gave my daughter the name of Audrey. She was once quoted as saying ” I am not a great actress I just express emotion” and I have felt that way many times, with my writing, I am not a great writer I just express emotion. Congratulations on your move, as I read your post I agree, it is a world in its own. an extention in which we can reach out to the world and feel it reach back.

Wow, you must have really loved Audrey Hepburn to give your daughter her name. I don’t blame you, she was always one of my heroes too. My favorite movie of hers was Roman Holiday, coming in second was Sabrina – but I loved all of her movies. I think that she expressed emotion is what made her a great actress and likewise it is what makes writers great as well.
I hope you’ll visit the new place – it would be nice to see you again.
