Did you say Fire?

fire-29-aug-008Well the La Canada fire is climbing closer to home. I took these pics about ten minutes ago, while standing in front of my house.

If you don’t hear from me for a while I might be reachable in some evac center somewhere.

  1. Hi Annie,
The only thing that comes to mind is, run like hell? You be careful! On the other hand, it is kind of pretty. Y’all going to have a block party and watch it together?

    Hey Grit,
I’m doing my best. Today seems better, if you could call raining ashes better. Fingers crossed.

  2. Be safe, Annie! I remember last November when the fires were burning around me in every direction…on the day I was moving! It was crazy and kinda stressful. Take good care of yourself!

    Hey Gracie,
I’m doing my best. So stressed though.

  3. And that is why I will never ever live in CA. Absolute and utter terror of fire.

    Good luck, A. Be safe.

    Hey Honey,
Hanging in there. Gotta light? 😦

  4. Your CA smoke was very evident in CO today, which gives me just a hint as to how big the fire out there must be. Stay safe, and I hope they get everything under control soon.

    Hey 30,
Yeah, it’s going in all directions. Up until today I was watching blazing hills just down the block from me. It’s crazy. Keep your fingers crossed.

  5. Oh dear I never knew about the fires over there. Wow ! Check that smoke out. I hope everybody survives. Love from England

    Hey Di,
So far, most of us are okay – and my neighborhood now appears to be safe. It was/is a bad one – the price we pay for living in California I guess.
