Going for good is the right choice. I’ve had one book published and the second is due out soon. I am writing my third. It sounds impressive but when I read my first book I think, “I could have done better than this” but I felt rushed by my publisher who wanted the manuscript. I am saying | felt rushed, and not that I was rushed. Anyway, now I am writing my third book, and I want it to be as good as I can make it, so I will not rush. I am pleased you have made the same decision, but much earlier than me

Hi Ducks,
I feel the same way about my first book. There is a big difference between good and good enough, yeah? Whether it’s an internal editor or an external editor, I think we all go through that rushed feeling. As though we may be too late if we take our time writing a book. But how could that be true? If you write the best book you can, then time should irrelevant, right?
Thanks for your comments and encouragement. Good luck with your third!
