Every year, I reread Atlas Shrugged and Stranger in a Strange Land. I don’t know why but it seems I can never read those two books enough.
What about you? What books do you read again and again? What about those books call to you?

The things I find myself reading and re-reading are Longfellow’s lengthy, non-rhyming poem, “The Courtship of Miles Standish” and Baroness Orczy’s French Revolution masterpiece, “The Scarlet Pimpernel.” I tend to reread them–somewhat ashamedly–because they’re both fairly short, so if I want something that will draw me in but not render me useless to the world for 36 hours, they’re my go-to’s.

LOL – render you useless for the 36 hours? I totally get that. I haven’t read the Scarlet Pimpernel in a really long time.
My faves are not quick reads but I like getting lost in them – it’s like going to a favorite vacation spot and just letting it all go. 😉
